Kauri wood comes from the Agathis Australis Tree, a massive conifer native to New Zealand, known for its immense size and ancient history, with some logs preserved for up to 50,000 years in peat swamps. This "swamp kauri" or "ancient kauri" is highly prized for its unique, beautiful grain and workability, used in furniture, art, and other luxury wood products. Living Kauri Trees are now protected, but the valuable ancient logs provide a continuous, limited supply of this historically significant timber.
Kauri Wood is the Oldest Workable Wood on Earth, making it Ideal to Create High-End Furniture, Sculptural Art, Bowls Etc. Kauri Trees and the Ancient Logs are Finite Resources, Making them Unique with High Value.
